Travel is rough on just about everything. From day 1 I have had problems with my prescription sunglass lens popping out, I have a rip on one of my hiking pants, and my clothes were dirty. So, this morning my friend and I switched hostels to one that had a laundry service and ran errands. I manages to get clothes cleaned, the rip fixed and sunglasses repaired. The glasses and rip were fixed for free by kind shopkeepers in town.

This afternoon it was off to view penguins and the tour started off with a ride in the southern Patagonia countryside.

Then we stopped and were able to take time viewing some cute little magelennic penguins. It was a nice location and we managed to avoid most of the rain coming in.

Finally, it was off to the mall where I decided to buy a new camera (the blemish is greatly magnified in brighter lighting). There was also a superwalmart type store in the mall that had increadible lines! it seems like the pace of things here in general just does not match up with the US. I also played some pop shot basketball at an arcade. It was just like old times when I went to a Chucky Cheese's as a kid.

Admin Notes - I added a video to the lauca entry. Depending on whether I take an off day before my trek I may not be blogging for awhile.

Hey Mike - Love the penguinos video! Looks like Chile has been easier on you than Peru - eating well and recuperating that ankle on the beach. The pics are beautiful especially that beautiful sunset. Keep up the great blogging - I'm enjoying your trip!
